A couple weeks ago we took a day trip down to Redding, CA to Turtle Bay Exploration Park. Since we are members of a local hands-on museum, Science Works, we get in to Turtle Bay for free! Right now they have an exhibit of costumes worn in various movies (mostly sci-fi and super hero type of movies). These are the actual costumes worn by the actors. It was a lot of fun. The kids really liked Batman, Darth Vader and Indiana Jones. It's funny how kids can know so much about a character even though they haven't even seen any of those movies. Much to their disappointment, it will be a long time before they ever will. Here are a few of everyone's favorites:

It was a fun, and long, day trip but we'll do it again. Probably during the summer since there are more things to do.
